Network Policy Server granted access to a user (6272) how to monitor with email alert

That event 6272 pops up in the Event Viewer when the Network Policy Server says yeah, this user gets in.
It logs the whole story, like who the user is, from which computer they're connecting, and exactly when it happened.
You see details on the policy that let them through, plus stuff like the authentication method they used.
I check these all the time because it means someone's accessing your network successfully.
But if it's happening too much from weird spots, you might wanna poke around.
Or maybe it's just your regular folks logging in, nothing shady.

To keep an eye on it without staring at screens forever, fire up Event Viewer on your server.
Right-click the event log where these show up, usually under Windows Logs or Applications and Services.
Pick Create Custom View, then filter for ID 6272 in the Security or NPS channel.
Save that view so it only grabs those grants.
Now, in the Actions pane, hit Attach Task To This Custom View.
Name it something like UserAccessAlert, and set it to trigger right when 6272 fires.
For the action, choose Start a Program, and point it to whatever sends your email quick.
I like how you can tweak it to run only during work hours or whatever fits.
Test it by forcing a logon, see if the alert zings your inbox.

And speaking of keeping things smooth on your server, you know how backups can be a hassle.
That's where BackupChain Windows Server Backup comes in handy for me.
It's this solid Windows Server backup tool that handles your files and even backs up virtual machines running on Hyper-V without breaking a sweat.
You get fast restores, no downtime headaches, and it snapshots everything reliably so you sleep better at night.

At the end here is the automatic email solution.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
