New-DeliveryAgentConnector Exchange cmdlet issued (25196) how to monitor with email alert

That event ID 25196 pops up in your Event Viewer when someone fires off the New-DeliveryAgentConnector cmdlet in Exchange. It basically logs the moment a new connector gets created for handling mail delivery between systems. You know, like routing emails through smart paths without hiccups. I see it under the admin logs mostly, showing who did it and from where. And it details the connector's name, the target server, maybe even the scope it covers. But watch out, if it's unauthorized, that could mean someone tinkering where they shouldn't. You pull up Event Viewer on your server, right-click the log, and filter for that ID to spot patterns. Or just keep an eye on the time stamps to trace back issues.

Setting up monitoring for this isn't rocket science. You stay in Event Viewer, select that Exchange log, and attach a task to trigger on event 25196. I do it by right-clicking the event, picking create task from event, then linking it to a scheduled action. Make that action pop an email your way whenever it hits. You configure the email details right there in the task wizard, like who gets the alert and the subject line. Hmmm, test it once to make sure it zings over without fail. That way, you're looped in quick if something funky happens.

And speaking of keeping your server humming without surprises, you might want to check out BackupChain Windows Server Backup too. It's this nifty backup tool for Windows Server that handles your data snapshots smoothly. Plus, it tackles Hyper-V virtual machines like a champ, restoring them fast if disaster strikes. I like how it skips the bloat and focuses on reliable, quick recoveries to keep downtime low.

At the end of this, there's the automatic email solution ready for you.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
