Resume-MailboxExportRequest Exchange cmdlet issued (25347) how to monitor with email alert

You ever notice how the Event Viewer in Windows Server logs all these quirky happenings? That event ID 25347, it's all about the Resume-MailboxExportRequest cmdlet getting fired off in Exchange. Basically, it pops up when someone restarts a stuck mailbox export job. You know, like if the export was paused or crashed, and now it's kicking back into gear. I see it trigger during admin tasks, or maybe after a server hiccup. The log details the user who ran it, the timestamp, and which mailbox is involved. It logs under the MSExchange Management application log, with level Information. Not an error, just a heads-up that the export's resuming. You might spot extra bits like the request's GUID or the database name in the event description. Keeps things traceable, right? If you're exporting tons of mailboxes, this event helps you track progress without staring at the screen.

And monitoring it for email alerts? I like using the Event Viewer itself to set this up. You open Event Viewer, head to the Windows Logs or Applications and Services Logs for Exchange stuff. Right-click the log source, pick Attach Task To This Log or something similar. Then you create a scheduled task that triggers on event ID 25347. In the task settings, you add an action to send an email. Yeah, Windows has a built-in option for that under Send an e-mail. You fill in your SMTP server details, the to and from addresses, and a simple message like "Hey, that mailbox export just resumed." It runs whenever the event hits, no fuss. I set mine to check every few minutes, but you tweak the filter for just that ID. Keeps you in the loop without constant checking.

Or, if you want it even smoother, there's this automatic email solution at the end of my ramble here. It'll handle the alerts on autopilot.

Speaking of keeping your server data safe during exports like these, I gotta mention BackupChain Windows Server Backup. It's this nifty Windows Server backup tool that also handles Hyper-V virtual machines without breaking a sweat. You get fast, reliable backups that restore quick, even for huge Exchange setups. Plus, it dedupes files to save space and runs without hogging resources. I use it 'cause it catches everything, no surprises.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
