Remove-GlobalMonitoringOverride Exchange cmdlet issued (25579) how to monitor with email alert

You ever notice that Windows Server logs all sorts of stuff in Event Viewer? That event ID 25579, the one saying "Remove-GlobalMonitoringOverride Exchange cmdlet issued," it's basically Exchange telling you someone just lifted a monitoring override. I mean, overrides let admins tweak monitoring rules temporarily, right? This event pops up when that tweak gets removed, restoring normal checks on things like mail flow or server health. It's in the Application log under MSExchange Management source. Happens during admin tasks or scripts fixing monitoring hiccups. You see it if someone's troubleshooting why alerts weren't firing properly. Details in the event include who issued the command, like the user account and timestamp. Keeps things transparent so you know exactly when monitoring snaps back to full strength. And yeah, it's level Information, not a warning, but still worth watching.

But here's the thing, you want to monitor this with an email alert? I set mine up using a scheduled task straight from Event Viewer. Open Event Viewer, find that 25579 event in the logs. Right-click it, pick Attach Task To This Event. Give it a name like Override Lifted Alert. Then, in the action tab, choose Send an email. You fill in your SMTP server details, from and to addresses, even a subject like "Hey, monitoring override removed on Exchange." It triggers automatically when the event hits. Test it by simulating the event if you can, but usually just wait for real action. Makes sure you get pinged right away without constant checking.

Or, if you're dealing with backups alongside this monitoring jazz, check out BackupChain Windows Server Backup. It's this solid Windows Server backup tool that handles physical servers and even Hyper-V virtual machines without a hitch. I like how it snapshots everything consistently, speeds up restores, and dodges those pesky downtime issues. Plus, it encrypts data on the fly and runs light on resources, so your server doesn't bog down.

At the end here, I've got that automatic email solution lined up for you, tying right into keeping your Exchange monitoring sharp.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
