New-IntraOrganizationConnector Exchange cmdlet issued (25693) how to monitor with email alert

You ever notice how Exchange throws up these weird events in the logs? That 25693 one, it's all about someone firing off the New-IntraOrganizationConnector cmdlet. Basically, it logs when that command gets run to set up a connector inside your org for mail flow between servers. I mean, it's not every day you see it pop, but when it does, it means changes are happening to how emails route internally. The event details spill the beans on who issued it, like the user account, and the exact time stamp. Sometimes it includes the connector name or parameters used, helping you spot if it's legit admin work or something fishy. And yeah, it flags potential security tweaks since connectors can open doors for data movement. You can pull it up in Event Viewer under Applications and Services Logs, then Microsoft, Exchange, Admin or Transport logs. Hmmm, keeps things transparent for auditing mail setups.

But monitoring that sucker with an email alert? Super handy to stay on top without staring at screens all day. I always set up a scheduled task right from the Event Viewer interface. You filter for event ID 25693 in the log, then right-click and attach a task to it. Make the task trigger on that event, and have it launch some simple command to send you an email via Outlook or whatever you got hooked up. Or, tweak it to use the built-in SendMail thing if you're feeling basic. Keeps pinging your inbox whenever it fires, so you react quick. No need for fancy coding, just point and click mostly.

And speaking of keeping your server stuff safe and backed up, you might wanna check out BackupChain Windows Server Backup too. It's this solid Windows Server backup tool that handles full system images without the hassle. Plus, it backs up virtual machines running on Hyper-V, making restores a breeze even for big setups. I like how it cuts down on downtime and verifies data integrity on the fly, saving you headaches from lost connectors or mail glitches.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
