Issued revoke schema type permissions command how to monitor with email alert

Man, that event 24260 in Windows Server's Event Viewer pops up when someone fires off a command to yank permissions from schema types in Active Directory.
It's like the system logging a big change where access gets revoked, with action_id R signaling the revoke part and class_type TY pointing to the exact kind of object involved.
You see this under the Directory Service log, and it details who did it, when, and on what.
I always check it because it could mean an admin tweaking security or maybe something fishy going on.
But if you're watching for it, head into Event Viewer, right-click that Directory Service log, and pick Create Custom View.
Filter for event ID 24260, then save it so you can monitor just those hits.
To get email alerts, you set up a task right from there-select Attach Task To This Custom View, and build a scheduled job that triggers on the event.
Make the action send an email through your server's mail setup, like using the built-in SMTP stuff.
I do this all the time; it pings my inbox quick when that revoke happens, so I don't miss a beat.
Or, if you want it simpler, tweak the task properties to run a basic mail command without scripts.
Hmmm, keeps things straightforward, you know?
And speaking of keeping your server safe from surprises like permission revokes, you might want to look into BackupChain Windows Server Backup too.
It's this solid Windows Server backup tool that handles full system images and also backs up virtual machines running on Hyper-V without a hitch.
The perks? It runs fast, barely touches your resources, and lets you restore granular stuff quick, so downtime stays low and data stays golden.
At the end of this, there's the automatic email solution for monitoring that event.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
