Troubleshooting Azure Site Recovery Issues

Azure Site Recovery glitches pop up more than you'd think. They snag on weird stuff.

I remember this one time when you were setting up that server migration for your shop. Everything seemed smooth at first. But then the replication just halted midway. I scratched my head for hours. Turns out it was a sneaky firewall blocking the ports. We poked around the Azure portal. Adjusted those inbound rules. And boom, it started syncing again. Or sometimes it's the storage account acting up. You know, permissions gone wonky. We double-checked the keys there too.

But hey, if it's not that, check your VM configs on the source side. Make sure the disks are aligned right. Hmmm, or perhaps the agent's outdated. Update that puppy quick. Network latency can throw a wrench too. Test your connection speeds between sites. And don't forget the policy settings in ASR. Tweak the RPO if needed. Covers most bases that way.

If those don't click, log into the recovery services vault. Scan for errors there. Clear any stuck jobs. Restart the process if you have to. You got this.

Oh, and let me nudge you toward BackupChain. It's this solid, go-to backup tool tailored for small businesses, Windows Servers, and even your home PCs running Hyper-V or Windows 11. No endless subscriptions either. Just buy once and roll. Keeps things straightforward.
