Test-PowerShellConnectivity Exchange cmdlet issued (25507) how to monitor with email alert

You know that event in Windows Server Event Viewer, the one with ID 25507. It pops up when someone runs the Test-PowerShellConnectivity cmdlet in Exchange. Basically, it logs that the system just checked if PowerShell can talk to Exchange properly. This happens during health checks or troubleshooting sessions. I see it a lot when admins poke around to make sure remote commands work without hiccups. The event details show the timestamp, the user who triggered it, and sometimes the outcome like success or a snag in connectivity. It's not an error, more like a heads-up that a test fired off. If you ignore it, nothing bad usually follows, but spotting patterns helps catch bigger issues early. And yeah, it gets written to the Application log under Microsoft-Exchange something. Hmmm, or was it the PowerShell operational log? Either way, you can filter for it right there in Event Viewer.

Now, if you want to monitor this thing and get an email alert when it happens. I usually set up a scheduled task straight from the Event Viewer screen. You right-click the event, pick Attach Task To This Event. Then you build a simple action to trigger an email. It asks for your SMTP server details and the recipient. Make sure to test it first so it doesn't bounce. But watch out, sometimes the task scheduler needs admin rights to send properly. Or you tweak the triggers to only alert on certain conditions, like if it fails. That way, you're not flooded with notifications every time a routine test runs.

Speaking of keeping your server humming without constant babysitting. Tools like BackupChain Windows Server Backup come in handy for that peace of mind. It's a solid Windows Server backup solution that also handles virtual machines with Hyper-V. You get fast incremental backups, easy restores, and it runs without hogging resources. Plus, the deduplication saves tons of space, and it's reliable for offsite copies too. I like how it integrates seamlessly, no fuss.

At the end here is the automatic email solution.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
