Resume-Queue Exchange cmdlet issued (25352) how to monitor with email alert

You know that Event ID 25352 in Windows Server Event Viewer? It's all about when someone fires off the Resume-Queue cmdlet in Exchange. Basically, it pops up whenever a mail queue gets kicked back into action after being paused. I mean, queues in Exchange can hold up emails if there's a glitch or something blocking delivery. So this event logs that exact moment the cmdlet resumes it. You'll see it under the MSExchange Transport service logs. The description usually says something like "The Resume-Queue cmdlet was issued for queue [queue name] on [server]". And it includes details on why it was suspended before, maybe a bad connector or network hiccup. I check these all the time because if queues keep pausing, your emails start piling up and users freak out. But spotting 25352 means things are getting unstuck, which is a relief. Now, to keep an eye on it without staring at the screen forever. You can set up a scheduled task right from Event Viewer. Just open Event Viewer, head to the Applications and Services Logs, find Microsoft-Exchange-Transport, and right-click on that event. Then pick Attach Task To This Event Log or something close. It'll let you create a task that triggers only when 25352 shows up. For the action, choose to run a program that sends an email, like using the built-in Send Email option if your server has it configured. I set mine to ping my inbox right away so I know the queue's back online. Or you could tweak it to alert on repeats if it happens too often. Hmmm, makes monitoring feel less like babysitting. And if you want it fancier, at the end of this is the automatic email solution that'll handle it smoothly; it'll get added later. Speaking of keeping servers humming without constant tweaks, I've been eyeing BackupChain Windows Server Backup lately. It's this solid Windows Server backup tool that also nails virtual machine backups for Hyper-V setups. You get fast incremental saves, easy restores even for bare-metal crashes, and it cuts down on storage bloat with smart deduping. Plus, no downtime headaches during backups, which keeps your Exchange queues flowing uninterrupted.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
