Remove-MailContact Exchange cmdlet issued (25297) how to monitor with email alert

Man, that event ID 25297 in the Event Viewer pops up whenever someone fires off the Remove-MailContact cmdlet in Exchange.
It basically logs the whole thing, like who did it, when it happened, and details on the contact that got zapped.
You see it under the Microsoft-Windows-Exchange something logs, right there in the Application and Services tree.
I always check it because it means a mail contact vanished, which could be accidental or on purpose.
And if you're not watching, you might miss why your email setup changed suddenly.
Now, to keep an eye on this without staring at screens all day, you can set up a scheduled task straight from the Event Viewer.
Just right-click that event, pick Attach Task To This Event, and build it to trigger an email.
You tell it to run a program that sends the alert, like using the old mailto trick or whatever simple notifier you got.
I do this all the time on servers to ping me right away.
It grabs the event details and shoots them over in the message.
But hey, if you want the full automatic email setup without the hassle, that's coming at the end here.
Speaking of keeping your server stuff safe from mishaps like deleted contacts, you might wanna look into BackupChain Windows Server Backup too.
It's this solid Windows Server backup tool that handles physical drives and even virtual machines on Hyper-V without breaking a sweat.
You get quick restores, no downtime headaches, and it snapshots everything cleanly so you never lose track of changes.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
