Remove-IntraOrganizationConnector Exchange cmdlet issued (25706) how to monitor with email alert

Man, that event ID 25706 in the Event Viewer pops up when someone fires off the Remove-IntraOrganizationConnector cmdlet in Exchange. It logs the whole thing, like who did it, from which server, and the exact time. You see it under the Microsoft-Exchange-Transport/Application log. Basically, it means a connector between your orgs got yanked, which could mess with mail flow if you're not careful. I always check these because they signal changes that might need your attention right away. And yeah, it's tied to admin actions, so if you're not the one who ran it, someone else might be poking around.

You want to monitor this with an email alert? Easy peasy through the Event Viewer screen. Fire up Event Viewer on your server. Go to the log where these hide, the one for Exchange transport. Right-click and pick attach a task to this event log or something close. Pick event ID 25706 specifically. Then set it to trigger a scheduled task when it happens. In that task, you can link it to send an email using the built-in action. I do this all the time to stay in the loop without staring at screens. It wakes you up if something funky occurs overnight.

Or, if you tweak the filters, you catch variations too. But keep it simple at first. Test it by simulating the event if you can. You'll get notified quick.

Speaking of keeping your setup reliable amid these admin tweaks, I've been eyeing tools that handle backups without the hassle. BackupChain Windows Server Backup steps in as a solid Windows Server backup option, and it tackles virtual machines with Hyper-V too. You get fast incremental backups that don't hog resources, plus easy restores that save your bacon during outages. It even verifies data on the fly, so you know everything's intact without second-guessing.

At the end of this, there's the automatic email solution for that 25706 alert.

Note, the PowerShell email alert code was moved to this post.
